BY-LAW ENFORCEMENT

 
Animal Control
In the interests of safety, public nuisance, and humanness to animals, the Council of the Town of Perth passed the Animal Control By-Law, which applies within the Town boundaries. The by-law affects dogs; cats; kennels; public nuisance issues including noise, bio-waste, and unleashed animals; animals in vehicles; exotic or wild animals; etc. Please see the attached by-law for more information.

Yard Maintenance
On January 24th, 2012 Council passed By-law # 4263 Yard Maintenance By-law.  The By-law provides minimum standards of yard maintenance and cleanliness in addition to prohibiting refuse on public or private lands, prohibiting automotive wrecking yards, and requiring removal or repair of dilapidated structures.  Should you have any concerns regarding a property in the Town of Perth which may not meet these minimum requirements; please contact Julia Conklin in the Building Department at the Town Hall 613-267-3311 ext. 2232.
